Ear To The Ground: Ralph Session on Sole Channel, Casbah 73 with Dimitry From Paris Remixes and Nabraska

The year is flying by and May was no different with more LHM events with Amor Andalucia, getting set for Faith boat party and launching our North Fest 10 Carnival special. There was a load of music to get through and as always, the talent out there continues to deliver. So we have picked just three May releases for you to wrap your ears around, but keep on digging as there is so much more we could cover.

Ralph Session – All Night Long EP
We’ve been waiting for this release with anticipation ever since we heard Ralph was locked in with an EP for Sole Channel and it’s a belter. Three original dance floor focussed cuts with a couple of instrumentals make up the EP and it’s another package of some class from the Barcelona based New Yorker. His consistency of delivering time and again is at last being properly recognised and great to see labels like Sole Channel and forthcoming Snatch and Nervous getting involved. Get yours here.

Casbah 73 – Doing Our Own Thing & To Be Free Remixes
Two remixes of Doing Our Own Thing from Dimitri From Paris are released by Lovemonk on 7″ vinyl, with the man making the most of the brilliant original parts and delivering two disco killers. Two more remixes from Casbah 73 of their own track To Be Free make up the digital package and all well worth your ears. Get the vinyl and digital versions here.

Nebraska – Love & Hate
When your inbox receives a message with Alistair Gibbs in the address, you know it’ll be a good day. This new Nebraska release Love & Hate has the usual house grooves we know so well, clever layers and loops, all put together to make you smile and dance. The track gets a dub with the usual stripped down version but added elements including a quality vocal sample give it that little subtle extra. Available on Nebraska Bandcamp here.
