A first release from French starlet Marina Trench on Heist and it’s four original works that set the tone for plenty more to come from the young Parisian based DJ and producer in the future, on Heist and beyond.
The French are killing it right now and Marina Trench delivers a stunning EP with all four tracks packed with groove. Side A offers the deeper end of house on “Sunrise” and the classic Vibes of “Carry On” which also features an incredible trumpet part from German wunderkind Christian Altehülshorstand. The B utilises the vocals of Marina herself for “Over There” which really does have a French feel to this up beat dancefloor beaut. The final track “Wake Up” features the emotive vocals of French Algerian artist Sabrina Bellaouel and is full of soul and layered perfectly. My pick of the bunch!
