This isn’t really very Ear To The Ground as I am pretty sure you have heard this already, whether out and about in the clubs, on Faith or Jimpsters podcasts/streams or just nosing about on the download sites where it is prominent. And rightly so, this homage to a club close to Ralph’s heart is a total belter and should be in your collection.
The NYC club Cielo was home to some of the cities most iconic House parties and was part of Ralph Session’s education, a club he frequented first as a dancer and later as a DJ and producer. ‘Cielo’ the track will take you there in spirit with all the beats and groove synonymous with club itself. Ralph also tapped into his native New York cohorts who were regulars with him at the intimate underground club to record and sample their memories and experiences from their time on the dancefloor.
All in all this is one hell of a main mix from a producer we are getting to know pretty well. In addition, Danny J Lewis and DJ Romain take on remix duties with a whole load of care and attention. They have both held onto key elements of the original while adapting and adding their own twists, retaining the feel and vibe which for a release of this nature, was pretty important.
