I don’t recall covering any or at least many Various Artist offerings but this Razor-n-Tape release is the Xmas present we all want. Eleven tracks of the highest order for your festive pleasure.
This is the first VA release from the Brooklyn label and they have pulled together a crack squad of producers, all part of the RNT family, whether past, present or future and they include heavyweights like Dimitri From Paris and DJ Rocca, Clive From Accounts, Eli Escobar and Lauren Flax and plenty more.
Expect nothing short of eleven killer tracks taking in underground house, disco, funk, breaks and everything in between, all exclusive and original for the release.
So many different vibes make selecting a favourite almost impossible, however Eli Escobar and Lauren Flax take the house vibes deep and groove heavy in the excellent ‘Just a Feeling’, Saucy Lady brings the vocals and disco to ‘Passport To My Love’ and ‘Trinidad Trouble’ is a great track title for Daniel T’s tribal get down.
