Review: Laroye – Be The Change EP (Freerange)

Read Time:1 Minute, 23 Second

The debut Freerange release from French multi-intrumentalist, DJ and producer Laroye, with a five track EP consisting of two originals and out on Friday 16 October.

Freerange go soulful on their latest release and opener ‘Be The Change’ is an absolute killer slice of deep, percussive dancefloor business (up there with Joe Claussell’s monster remix of Progress for me and certainly in that vein). Carlos Mena supplies the positive vibes on the vocals of Laroye’s smooth synths and percussion production.

As well as handy percapella, instrumental and dub versions of the above, there is another great track on the package. The heavier ‘Twisted’ goes more techy and well er twisted, while remaining as dancefloor (when we are allowed back on them!) friendly as title track ‘Be The Change’.
