Review: Soma World ft Falle – Want This (inc Ray Mang remix)

We have been looking forward to the release of this collaboration since we heard it last month. Out on Adventures in Paradise this Friday 10 July, “Want This” from Soma World and Falle deliver a great original which also gets the remix treatment from Ray Mang.

To be completely honest, my knowledge of all the artists involved was minimal to none! I can safely say, following this wonderful piece of music, my ears will be very much open to future creations from both.

The original uses the beautiful west African vocal from a very impressive vocalist in Falle to perfection. Wonderful beats and percussion, live bass, guitars and additional keys work around Falle’s voice and the result just sucks you right in!

After the original and knowing Ray Mang is on remix duties, you know he will work wonders. Reworking the beats to support the DJ and using all the original parts with aplomb, he adds a warmth to the production that, alongside the beats, set it up just right for the dancefloor. This is the perfect balance for retaining the beauty of the original while just messing about enough to make this one dancefloor ready gem.

Adventures In Paradise don’t put out records at the same rate as your average label, but then their releases are most certainly worth the wait. Have a little dig about and discover their balearic sounds if you haven’t already. (Adventures In Paradise Soundcloud)
